Description:

To run for town office, a candidate must live in and be a registered voter of the town of Shirley. Candidates for town office, including individuals running for re-election, need to come to the Town Clerk’s office to take out Nomination Papers. Papers are currently available. The Board of Registrars must be able to certify (as registered voters of Shirley)
a minimum of 24 of the signatures gathered by candidates on their nomination papers.Therefore, to assure that they qualify for nomination, candidates would be wise to gather more than the minimum needed. Candidates need to return the Papers to the Town Clerk
(for the Board of Registrars) by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23.
